The Balance Conference offers a range of educational sessions for women physicians. In addition, we will learn how to take care of ourselves while maintaining the wide-range of roles we play as women physicians, teachers, mothers, and daughters.  Join us for our annual conference in Breckenridge Colorado to learn, relax, and immerse yourself in a group of supportive women physicians who have been where you are.

Enjoy plenty of free time to rest, relax, or rejuvenate.

Free morning yoga and opportunities to schedule a massage.

The Balance Conference has attracted women physicians from throughout the country since the first conference in 1991.  A highly interactive multi-disciplinary program for a totally physician audience, participants represent a wide variety of primary care and subspecialty practice settings, ranging from solo to hospital and managed care plans to academia. The CME program includes sessions that focus on personal skills and professional growth as well as clinical topics relevant to various patient populations.

This conference is distinguished from other meetings by incorporating health habits --”walking the walk”.  Each year there is a choice of optional sessions that might include meditation, Tai Chi, water aerobics and other movement activities, as well as opportunities to hike and bike the mountains, or walk the trails.  Children and families enjoy day camp and mountain experiences.

Conference Benefits
We openly discuss ideas and challenges in a safe environment at the conference.  We can explore and support turning points in our lives and practices.  Opportunities continue throughout the year for positive networking about clinical issues, lessons learned, and personal support on the Balance website.  For members, the added benefit of a mentor program allows one-on-one communication.
